                   Susan Beddingfield changed my daughter's life! Jasmine was diagnosed with dyslexia in the 11th grade. Up until her sophomore year in high school, Jasmine was able to    compensate. Her teachers and I had no idea that she has a learning disability. I had thought that she was weak in English and writing. Jasmine had a specialized English tutor to help her for her for many years; however, a situation happened at the end of her 10th grade year that made me realize that her was struggles were deeper than just being weak in English. I had her tested, and she was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia. Once we got the diagnoses, my husband and I were at a loss on how to find someone to help her. I started searching the internet. I started talking with friends. A friend of a friend of a friend gave me Susan's information. I called Susan and explained the situation. I told her that I felt like I have failed my daughter. I explained the urgency of the situation of having a child who is in the 11th grade and has just been diagnosed with dyslexia. Susan listened, she calmed me down, and she said, "Let me meet your daughter. Let me work with her, see where she is at, and see how I can help." Less than a week later, Jasmine went and had a session with Susan. One hour later, Jasmine left her tutoring session, came and sat in my car and said, "Mom, for the first time in my life I found someone who can explain things in a way that I can understand it. I'm not dumb." Jasmine graduates from high school next month. She has worked hard with Susan over the last year and a half. I have seen great improvement with both her grades and her self confidence. Jasmine has said on several different occasions that working with Susan has been the best thing for her. She constantly tells me how much Susan has helped her. That the strategies that she has learned with Susan will be strategies that she will use for the rest of her life. I will be forever grateful that Susan was able to help my daughter. We all feel that Jasmine has a very bright future, and I believe that Susan has help put Jasmine on the path to success.
